Palm City, FL, March 16, 2021- Chef Ben Robinson, who has been featured on several seasons of the hit Bravo series “Below Deck”, will host a Cooking Demonstration and Question & Answer session on Saturday, April 3rd from 4:30-5:30 p.m. to benefit Project LIFT. The event will take place at the non-profit’s headquarters located at 1330 SW 34th Street in Palm City.
The accomplished reality star and Master Chef has worked under Italian chefs in Florence and gained an apprenticeship at three-star Michelin Star restaurant The Fat Duck, based in the United Kingdom. The reality series “Below Deck” profiles a group who work onboard mega yachts that sail in the Caribbean and the Mediterranean. Ben’s culinary skills have been featured as he serves as the Executive Chef, navigating not only the open water but also unique and demanding requests.
Tickets for the event are $100 per person and available for purchase at projectliftmc.com or by calling 772-221-2244. Tickets include cooking demo appetizer and open bar. Attendance is extremely limited and social distancing and other COVID safety protocols will be in place.
The event precedes Project LIFT’s annual Clambake fundraiser, but Clambake tickets are not required to attend this event, as it is a separate ticket purchase. All proceeds benefit Project LIFT, an innovative program that provides therapy through the unique platform of vocational training. At risk teens receive counseling and substance abuse treatment from licensed psychotherapists while learning skilled trades including welding, auto repair, construction, HVAC, and screen printing. This disruptive model, that Project LIFT calls “Therapy Under the Hood of a Car”, provides teens with a healthy replacement behavior for substance use and a career pathway.
