The purpose of this position is to provide civil legal assistance to eligible low income and elderly persons approved by program policies and priorities in areas such as housing, domestic violence related family, public benefits, consumer, elder, and education.

The purpose of this position is to provide civil legal assistance to indigent persons approved by program policies and priorities on such matters as individual rights, housing, public benefits, elder law, family law, consumer rights, education, and employment law.

Job title: PBC REAP Paralegal

Paralegal to serve as the initial contact for potential clients of the Palm Beach County Community. Maintains call logs/records, enters client data in the Legal Server database, drafts letters and other documents, performs clerical/administrative tasks, and assists staff with outreach activities. Researches and maintains knowledge of current fair housing law, both federal and local county ordinance, investigates facts, and prepares cases. This position requires demonstrated ability and experience working effectively with clients in crisis. The Paralegal acts as a member of the legal team, or a “non-lawyer assistant” and thus must keep all client information confidential.

Job title: VOCA Contract Attorney

The purpose of this position is to provide civil legal assistance to Victims of Domestic Violence and work primarily under or Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) Grant. representation and advocacy to victims of domestic violence, sexual trauma, and stalking. The ideal candidate must have an extensive knowledge in Family law, three-five years’ experience preferred.
This is a contract position; contract ends 30 September 2021 which may be extended.

The Paralegal will work with clients who are survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and other serious crimes. The Paralegal will work with attorneys and advocates to assist clients on a range of issues affecting victims of crime. This position requires demonstrated ability and experience working effectively with clients in crisis.
