On February 29th, 2020, Visionary School of Arts and Inwater Research Group kicked off sea turtle nesting season with Go Green! Conservation and Art Show like no other! Over 80 students and teachers from VSOA were showcasing the art they created. Sea turtle biologists from IRG explained the importance of sea turtle nesting in Florida, how humans are impacting the process, and how people can help. The custom hand-painted recyclimg bins were auctioned off to benefit the school’s programs that inspire and support local students! The event was sponsored by National Save The Sea Turtle Foundation, HopCat, Sailfish Brewing Company, Southern Eagle Distributing, Apple Rush, The House of Brews, Brightway Insurance The Vincent Zanfini Family Agency’, and Leighton Construction LLC.
