The 6th Annual Santa in The Pines

The 6th Annual Santa in The Pines – United Way

Even in the most challenging year, the Christmas spirit is alive and well in our community!
For the sixth year in a row, Tim and Brittany Holdy, owners of Holdy Realty, hosted a toy drive in The Pines & Windemere subdivisions in Jensen Beach.

The 6th Annual Santa in The Pines event on December 5 was converted to a safe COVID Alternative Parade through the Pines & Windemere complete with Santa Claus, live music by Tailored Soul, Stuart Police Department police detail (Sergeant Brian Bossio) and magical snowfall!

“Not being able to host our traditional event with upwards of 400 friends and neighbors due to COVID, really forced us to think outside the box this year.  With most other events being cancelled, I knew cancelling the event and toy drive was just not an option! After a lot of brainstorming, my wife Brittany and I decided to rent a professional float and convert our event to a safe parade through The Pines & Windemere.  I will admit that we really didn’t know what to expect going into this, but I am excited to report that the event was a huge success and it was our absolute pleasure to collect nearly 600 toys this year on behalf of our community for the United Way’s Holiday Project! I’d really like to say thank you to all the United Way volunteers for helping collect all the toys along the parade route.

I would also like to thank all our friends and neighbors in The Pines and Windemere who waited for Santa to make his rounds and help fill the United Way trailer up with toys as we passed by! You have all helped make the season bright for children right here in Martin County and I cannot thank you all enough! Thank you again to everyone and Happy Holidays from the Holdy Family!” -Tim Holdy.
