It is amazing what you can accomplish when you introduce community leaders to each other!  The Children’s Museum of the Treasure Coast relies on donations and volunteer efforts from the community to maintain its facility and community outreach programs through exhibits and hands-on experiences.  Over the past 17 years the Junior League of Martin County has supported the ongoing efforts of the Children’s Museum and on February 11, 2020,  league members, in partnership with Fritz Irrigation, pitched in once again to lead the restoration of the Pizza Garden.  The Pizza Garden is located within the Museums Children’s Garden and Learning Landscape area, installed in 2011.  Since the Museum is located directly alongside the Indian River Lagoon, proper watering and irrigation is vital to the plants overall production.  Although irrigation was initially installed in 2011, it was not sufficient enough to keep the plants healthy and striving through the entire season.  That is when Fritz Irrigation stepped in to help.  Shea Fritz, a native to Martin County and owner and operator of Fritz Irrigation, Inc. believes in supporting community projects like the Children’s Garden.   Shea was happy to offer his expertise to the project and the Junior League Members offered the manpower to complete the installation of plants into the 8 pie shaped beds, including Pizza friendly herbs and veggies, a great team effort.   The Museum is thankful for its amazing community partners.  If your business would like to become a community partner with the Children’s Museum and ongoing projects, please feel free to contact Tammy Calabria at 772-225-7575 ext. 203.  For more information or overview of the Museum’s impact and mission please visit
