Rejuvenated historic building reaches new milestones as Enrichment Center

The historic Golden Gate Building fully restored and operating as House of Hope's Golden Gate Center for Enrichment.

GOLDEN GATE – This August a community milestone was reached, it has been a year since the long-awaited opening of House of Hope’s Golden Gate Center for Enrichment, the distinct two-story historic building at the corner of SE Dixie Highway and Delmar Street in Stuart.

STUART -With new milestones being reached almost monthly this past year at House of Hope, staff and volunteers are now celebrating the agency’s most significant rating from Charity Navigator- a coveted four star score of 98.23 percent.

The Moving Tribute by Some Gave All, Inc., a nonprofit organization, displaying memorial panels with the names of Americam servicemen and servicewomen killed in the wars against terrorism in Iraq and Afghanistan

Gratitude is the alchemy of Faith, Hope & Love.

Memorial Day symbolizes the appreciation of those who have fought and died for our freedom. The sacrifice our fallen soldiers paid is priceless and as we celebrate this weekend, let us not forget the real meaning of those who died for us.

The meaning behind the POW MIA Table

This POW/MIA table was set by the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 1041 of Martin County to honor those who had not returned from the war. They may be lost, but they are not forgotten. The small table is symbolizing the frailty of one prisoner alone against his or her oppressors. The table itself is round to show that the concern for them is never ending.

Art created by Karen Angstadt is truly therapeutic. Her ethereal fluid abstracts bring calm and tranquility. An ancient Japanese painting technique Suminagashi literally means "ink floating". Karen uses water as a canvas for ink paintings, before transferring the image onto fabric or paper. Every design is unique and cannot be reproduced.

Molly's House: Shelter, Serenity, Support.

The 7 min. documentary "Shelter, Serenity, Support" was premiered on April 3rd, 2018 at the "Molly's Dream" fundraising breakfast at St. Mary's Episcopal Church. One of the most heart touching post-production edits was working on Molly's interviews she gave before cancer took her. But did she lose the battle? Molly lives in the hearts of all guests who stayed at the House.
